Jonah and the Whale
Artist
Kosta Boda
Medium
Glass Art - Crystal Glass
Description
The glass works in Kosta was founded in 1742. The name was created from the surnames of the founders, Generals Koskull and Staël von Holstein. Kosta’s location, in the heart of the dense forests in the Swedish province of Småland, was chosen so that the glassworks could provide both Stockholm and Karlskrona with glass. Important roads crossed here, and there was also an unlimited supply of wood to heat the furnaces. Now you can own one of Kosta Boda fine crafted glass-works which is unique in design and composition. It is titled " Jonah and the Whale" which is abstract in design and sign and numbered on the bottom. In this piece you can see the silhouette of Jonah in the belly of the whale. It would make a fine addition to any collection. For more information or to arrange an in person viewing call Richard Beau Lieu at 561-736-8181 or email: beaulieustudios@aol.com
