Description
This is an absolutely very rare find of a 16th century oil on canvas found in a small town in Spain and recently brought to the United States. The painting depict Jesus Christ dragging his cross with his head turned to the left. The symbolism around his head we access to be that of the trinity. " Father, Son and Holy Spirit" It has been relined at least twice and is in need of restoration but such a rare painting is certainly worth the investment. For it's age I would say it's in fair condition. Also it should be mentioned that the frame looks to be as though it is the original or has at least been with the painting for a very long time. The frame size of the painting measures 39.5 in width by 47.5 in height. It was recently appraise and all documentation will be forwarded to the buyer.
